Jon Barocas is the founder and president of bieMEDIA. He has a long history and substantial experience in the TV and film industry including working as a writer, producer and director. In 1986, he established Bark at the Moon Productions, Inc. as an independent film and video production company. Bark at the Moon Productions pioneered new media platforms for newspapers with the introduction of Employment Television® in 1991. Mr. Barocas has been acknowledged as a leading expert on new media advertising and strategic internet, print and broadcast media alliances. Mr. Barocas was one of the first to pioneer internet streaming media video content on the web.
David Pavek is the Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Pavek has a background in law and business, having graduated from the University of Denver, College of Law in 1986. Mr. Pavek works with the senior management of the company to assure balance between the growth of the company, and the needs and desires of the company’s clients. He is a 1983 graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
Olivier Katz has over 25 Years of senior-level managerial experience in Entertainment, television, advertising and media. Most recently he served as president of The Viral Factory a leading viral marketing and media company in the US and UK. His career prior includes strategic advertising and media consulting for global brands, the creation of a cable and satellite network, the ownership of several live action and animation production companies and advertising agencies . His faceted professional past as an award winning executive producer , producer, and film editor also greatly contributed to his overall qualifications.
Rhonda Canino is the vice president of business development for bieMEDIA and brings more than 20 years of experience in the newspaper and digital-media industry to the company. Prior to joining bieMEDIA, Ms. Canino served as director of business development for the recruitment division of Media News Group Interactive where she helped facilitate the development and evolution of Yahoo! / HotJobs partnership while overseeing the migration of more than 50 newspapers to the Yahoo / HotJobs platform.
Ms. Canino's experience before Media News Group Interactive includes director of recruitment advertising for the Denver Newspaper Agency and for the Denver Post.
Chris has always maintained a close connection to both the visual world as well as the technological world. He has been able to cultivate a perfect union of “look and feel” with technical know-how as a byproduct of a B.F.A in Film studies from University of Colorado Boulder and a degree in Video Productions from the Art Institute of Colorado. Chris works daily with both the production team as well as the senior staff to not only deliver current high quality productions but also to advance bieMEDIA’s leadership in enhancing the interactive internet video space.
Mayo Furuya is the newest member of biemedia’s management team. She has served as one of the company’s video editor since 2004. Ms. Furuya moved to Colorado from her native home of Tokyo, Japan in 1998. Since then, she has completed degrees in Video Production (2001) and Digital Media Production (2004) from The Art Institute of Colorado. Due to her diverse mixture of culture and education, she brings a fresh and unique leadership dynamic to biemedia’s production team.
Mr. Campbell has been a portfolio manager and senior analyst for Dorset Management Corporation since January 2000 and a member of Knott Partners Management, LLC since 2004. Before that, Mr. Campbell founded Windsor Partnership, L.P. in 1986. Mr. Campbell was Principal and Managing Director of Berg Capital Corporation, a registered investment advisor, from 1984 through 1985, and also served as General Partner of Chelsea Partners, a private investment partnership, during that time. Mr. Campbell was a vice President at the First Boston Corporation from 1975 through 1984, and from 1969 until 1975 was at McLead, Young, Weir, Ltd. in Canada and was appointed a Vice President in 1973. He holds a B.S. degree from McGill University. He is a Trustee of the Leukemia Society of Westchester County and also served on the Vestry of St. John's Church in Larchmont, NY. Mr. Campbell is married with 3 children and lives in Larchmont, New York.

Paul Healy is CEO of Connexiti in New York City. Previously Mr. Healy was with Magid Advisors and Breeden Partners, L.P. where he was responsible for all capital raising activities of this activist style hedge fund founded by Richard C. Breeden, former Chairman of the SEC. Prior to joining Richard Breeden, Mr. Healy was Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Hollinger International Inc. (now Sun-Times Media Group, NYSE:SVN). As head of Corporate Development, Mr. Healy was the primary conduit for all potential merger, acquisition and divestiture opportunities in addition to coordinating “best practices” between operations on three continents. Mr. Healy has a B.A. from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where today he serves as a board trustee and as board chairman of The Kenyon Review. Mr. Healy also serves on the Development Committee of the Board, Jazz at Lincoln Center, New York, NY, and was a Trustee of the International Center of Photography, New York, NY, from 1991 – 2001.
Rick Mayer is an investor, philanthropist and photographer. He spent the earlier part of his career in Latin America operating an oil re-refinery and managing a scrap steel and ocean shipping company. As a member of his family’s investment holding company, Rick has been involved in private equity investing from 1980 to the present. After a stint on Wall Street in commercial finance at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, he established a trade and investment research company that fostered international joint and co-ventures. Rick has been a director of his family’s charitable foundation for over 25 years focusing on grants projects in arts, education and youth. He is a graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in Latin American Studies. Rick lives with his wife and five children in Guilford, CT.
Richard Morrison has over 30 years of experience in the investment business and has developed a successful investment process focused on finding undervalued growth stocks. From 1984 to December 1995, he was a Principal and Portfolio Manager for Jurika & Voyles in Oakland, California. During this period, the assets under management at Jurika & Voyles increased from $40 million to $4 billion. Prior to joining Jurika & Voyles, Mr. Morrison was a Senior Vice President with Ashfield & Company. Before this, he was a Vice President with L.F. Rothschild & Company. Mr. Morrison earned his B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Morrison serves as Chairman of The Young Musicians Program and is a member of the investment committee of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific. Formerly, he was a director of Volcom, a director and member of the investment committee of the California Alumni Association and director of Caffino, a drive-in coffee company. Mr. Morrison is an avid golfer and fly fisherman. He currently is a director of Dynamic Healthcare, a medical software company

Since 2005, Mr. Schecter serves as the Chief Financial Officer of HydroGen Corporation (NASDAQ: HYDG), a company in the business of designing and manufacturing air-cooled Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell power generation systems. From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Schecter, a CPA, served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Fuel-Tech N.V., a publicly-traded technology company in the air pollution control, fuel treatment and software businesses. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc., a publicly-traded development stage company in the specialty chemical business from 1995 through 1999. In 1990, Mr. Schecter participated in a management buyout of American Vision Centers, Inc., a retail optical chain, and served as that company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer through January 1994. After graduating with his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Schecter served as a corporate development officer for W. R. Grace & Co. from 1986 to 1990, focusing on acquisitions, strategic investments and divestitures.
